Our New Backyard Adventure!

About 7 weeks or so ago, Wade and I signed the papers to put in a swimming pool! It's something that we've always wanted to do. I had a pool growing up and always knew that I wanted to have one when I got married and had a family. Wade works extremely hard in his job, waking up around 3:30 A.M. and putting in a 50-60 hour work week typically (with a lot of physical labor involved as well) and since he is self-employed, he barely squeaks by with a 4-5 day vacation once per year. So, we decided to bring the vacation and relaxation to us with a pool! We are very excited and were able to swim in it for the first time yesterday after school, although the water was a bit chilly. Carson had his best buddy, Jake, over and they wore themselves out. They had a blast! We even broke in the diving board some...Wade did about 5 jumps/dives off it and Callahan was in awe! He kept saying "WOAH!" It was really funny! Here are the pictures from start to finish basically. We still have a lot of landscaping to do around it, as you can see, but will hopefully start that this weekend. It definetely looks a lot better now, if you can imagine, than the small warzone it was when they started! So, the invitation is open for you to come have a "mini vacation" at the Ramer house!

Awesome! Hey Wade is this the same guy who made a windshield sun protector from a card board box for his new brides car?
Who are you and what happened to Wade?

All kidding aside, congratulations and we know you will have lots of fun and memories in that pool. When are you putting in the private door from our room to the pool? And the pool equipment isn't blocking our view right?

Looks like fun. Sign us up for one of those 'mini vacations' please. Kyan can't wait to come swim with his cousins. Congrats on the new pool. BTW, Cal looks so cute in his big life jacket.

That is so fun. It's cool to see how it all came together. Thanks for commenting on my Dad's blog. That makes his day.

MICHEAL ANN! How are you? I saw your comment on Gene's blog and wondered if that Michael Ann was you. It's so great to "see" you. You look great. I saw your mom not to long ago in Edmond at 33rd St. Salon. She said you were good. We have a Carson as well that's 4 and a 15 month old, Kerrigan. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. You can come check us out. www.maucktalk.blogspot.com

mom-

Yes, Wade has come a long way since those newleywed days hasn't he? God still works miracles!!

The equipment isn't blocking your view, but probably knocks out your idea of the "private door." Looks like you will just have to use the regular back door like us common folk! : )

Hello, sweetface! Thank you so much for your kind comments on my 'college dropout' story! I love YOUR blog -- love the pics of your husband and children, and the pool...all of it! You will NEVER regret having the pool. All your kids' friends will live at YOUR house, instead of your kids being gone all summer! It's worth every penny!

I have such wonderful memories of you and your family! Please give them a 'virtual hug' for me! ha!
