Happies and Random Moments From the Week!

Okay, I'm having technical difficulties and can only get a bunch of word scripts on my blogging post page. So I can't figure out where to write under each picture, since there are only words and no pictures on the draft. Has anyone else had the same problem or have a clue what I'm talking about?? HELP!!

Anyways, these are some happies and not so happies this week...Carson and Callahan reading in Carson's bed each night. Callahan has been wanting to jump up there right in the middle and read with us and pray with all of us. It's pretty funny, but also hard because he doesn't sit still for long and laughs/talks the whole time so Carson can't hear. He just thinks he is as big as Carson though and it's fun to watch him mimic his brother with everything!

The next set of pics weren't happies as much for me as they were for Callahan! On Saturday, he and Carson were coloring with markers and I was standing only a few feet away from them in the kitchen. I could hear Cal just laughing and getting all giddy about something - as I came around the corner from the sink, I saw him sitting at the table coloring away with blue magic marker all over his legs and arms. He was so proud of himself! Carson thought it was pretty funny too. I'm just glad we only buy washable markers!!

And lastly, Wade and Carson have been playing football pretty much on a daily basis and Callahan is learning the ropes - like I said, he thinks he is just as big as Carson!

Now, onto Hurricane IKE...wow! The remnants came through here last night and woke me up in a panic! My dad had to make a business trip last week to Baltimore and was unable to fly home to Houston on Friday and so he went to my brother and sister-in-law's in Kansas City. So my mom and nephew stayed in Houston (Kingwood) and rode the storm out! I am happy to report that they are well and safe, but a 100 ft. tree did fall on their house and part of it is sitting in their game room. Mom said Friday night was pretty scary and they got zero hours of sleep. They do not have any power either, and are hoping it comes back on soon. All in all, we are thanking God they are okay! Pictures to follow later...

Cute pictures. I've been waiting to see the ones with the markers. Can't wait for those days. I hear they make markers now that only mark on the paper that goes with them. Who comes up with these brilliant ideas? Maybe Cal should put those on his Christmas list. But then again we wouldn't get to see these cute pictures.
We miss you guys!
