Look where we went for MY birthday...

Chuck E Cheese!!  Oh yeah!  my 34th birthday mind you!  Callahan all week was asking "mommy, where do you want to go for your birthday?  Chuck E Cheese? Fun City, where?".  So on my birthday, he was so excited and wanted to decorate the whole house and have cake, ya know...all the works.  So I told Wade I just couldn't bust his bubble and not go somewhere "fun" for my birthday.  I know I know, I'm the coolest mom ever! I get it! :)

 okay, this was so funny!  Crosby wanted to ride in this car, so when we put him inside he was shocked to see another somebody sitting beside him!  He really didn't know what to think and stared at this statue guy forever.  Then he started to cry because he was scared of him.  Poor little fella!!

Cal's FIrst Sleepover

Last Friday night, we met Cal's best friend Andrew and his family at Chick-Fil-A to grab a quick bite and then they headed back to our house to swim.  The boys ended up swimming until 9:30 pm!!  They were having so much fun!  Carson was already at another friend's house to spend the night, so Cal piped up and asked Andrew to stay for a "sleepover!"  At first Andrew said "no", to which Callahan replied very loudly "Andrew...why don't you want to sleep with me?  You're my best friend!".  We all laughed pretty hard.  Then Andrew decided he did want to stay.  So, Betsy (Andrew's mom) and I decided we would let them spread their wings a  little and have a sleepover at the last minute.  The boys did great and went right to sleep when we got them fixed up with a bath and snack....granted it was 11:30 pm!  They slept all night and were up at their usual 7:30 a.m. start.  Wade got donuts and they were in heaven!  These boys are so precious together and we are blessed to have the Porta family in our lives. 

Destin, FL 2011

 We went to Destin with Wade's family the first week of August. The kids had a blast at the beach, despite blazing hot/humid weather! It was lots of fun. Crosby LOVED the ocean, scared us to death because he would just walk right in like it was nothing!! He also loved the sand and would put his face right into it. We also went to a splash park there, which the boys loved. Again, Crosby had no fear of that water shooting up all around him and played in it like it was nothing! Pretty funny. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to next time!
