Carson had his first flag football game today! His team is the TITANS and Wade is helping assistant coach. It's really cute and pretty funny too. Carson had a good time, although they have a lot to work on in practice this week. The first play, Carson was on defense and was trying to pull the flags of the player directly in front of him, even though that player did not have the ball. We are definetely learning! Carson did tackle a kiddo so his teammate could score a touchdown - except it is "flag football" and not "tackle football!" Like I said, we're learning...
Callahan had a lot of fun and did really well at the game. He waved to Wade and Carson quite often and got a little confused as to why he couldn't just run out there with his brother and daddy too. Thankfully he was entertained with eating snacks and just being outside!
Things were going pretty well and then...
Carson got hurt...another player stepped on his foot and his shoe came off...he survived! This wasn't the only time we saw tears from Carson during the game. A little bit before this happened...I looked over on the sideline and saw Carson crying. I asked Wade what was wrong and he mouthed back to me that Carson thought they were losing! Oh boy, do we have our work cut out for us already with this boy! The funny thing is is that they don't even keep a real score in flag football. We've kept telling Carson to just go out and have fun...because he cannot stand to lose and is VERY competitive...hmmm...wonder where he gets that from (hint: one of his parents and it isn't me!). He has told me about 10 times tonight that his team won...did I mention that he doesn't like to lose?
We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to our next game. We have a bi-week next week so we will practice up and work on pulling those flags! Go Titans!

In the first picture my mind fast forwarded to about 2017 and I saw Carson at about a soph or junior in high school! That is the first time I have ever really gotten a glimpse of what I think he'll look like in 10 years. He's crazy cute, I think you are going to be in big trouble with the girls!
