We lost our first tooth and our weekend in Stillwater

Carson lost his first tooth Easter weekend...I know I know...I'm a slacker mom for not posting about this big "first" sooner. It was a funny thing, because his new tooth had been growing in for a while before the baby one finally fell out. Wade and I were also slackers since we didn't even notice the new tooth budding through until Uncle Greg and Aunt JJ pointed it out the weekend we were at their house! The night it fell out Carson ran in our room at 2 A.M. and said that his "tooth fell out." Wade got up and put it in his tooth container he got from school. The next day, he told us that it woke him up because he felt something on his tongue. He said that at first, he wanted to throw up because he didn't know what it was, then it dawned on him that it was his tooth. I still can't believe he didn't swallow that thing! So the tooth fairy came the next night and Carson was so proud.

We went to visit our friends, the Poe's, in Stillwater, OK last weekend along with some of our other friends from Dallas, the Donoho's. We had a blast to say the least and it seemed like our time raced by and then we were gone. This is what we did until 3 A.M. on Friday night - ROCK BAND!!! Okay, let me just say that I can't stay up that late anymore without some major consequences! Why is it that I used to do that in my college days 10 years ago for 3-4 nights in a row no sweat??!! After Friday, it took me a week to rehabilitate back to my old self. I literally felt like I had been run over by a mack truck!!! I was EXHAUSTED all WEEK! So so so sad what aging does to you. I think my bedtime is now no later than midnight - oh this is sad. Anyways, it was so addicting and we had a blast. The next night the boys played Halo (no not the boy children - the 30 year old boys!) and the girls were asleep on the couch at 10:30. Are we pathetic or what?!

All the kids but Cal (he was napping). Here are Carson (6), Lane Donoho (4), Ella Poe (2 1/2), and Lucy Anne Poe (5). They were so good together and had such a fun time with each other. It was a blessing for all the kids to play so well together.

Jason, Wade, and Justin with Justin's 4 wheeler. The kids loved riding with them on that thing. Wade took me for a spin and had me scared for my life a few times. It really was fun though!

Here is the "Joe's Band." The kids named themselves that after we bought them all Eskimo Joe's t-shirts when we went to eat on Saturday there. Ella didn't want to join in, but here are the others with Cal on the mic. Do you notice how tall Lane is? - he and Carson are the same height and he is 2 years younger! He looks like a kindergartener! He is going to be tall like his daddy.

Here are the kids with their "crazy" faces. Lane was the perfect bass guitarist - he had little expression and stood pretty still. Carson was wild and crazy with his moves and facial expressions - so he was a perfect little electric guitarist. Rock Band made us think that guitar lessons may be in Carson's future - he LOVED it and I wouldn't mind him knowing how to play either.

What a fun weekend with fun people! I always love seeing your pictures with the Poe family in them...it seems like when we make it up to OKC to see my parents we are swamped with family stuff and don't get a chance to see them.

Congrats on losing a tooth to Carson too -- Sam is DYING to lose one soon (none are even loose yet!). And I can't believe he didn't swallow it either!

How fun for Carson! AK has had at least two of her new teeth grow in behind the baby ones. We are destined for the orthodontist:).

I know that trip had to be a blast! I really miss hanging out with you all. We will let you know the next time we are driving through Arkansas (it might be this summer). Please, please consider coming to Cookeville sometime!

I think it's so good that you guys have all made it a point to stay connected. Reminds me of all the time's we got together with the Crumes. What a bunch of cute kids, they are all getting so big. I'm so glad some of them are my grandkids!
