First of all, thank you all so much for your sweet comments of encouragement, thoughtfulness, and prayers. They are greatly appreciated and my dad thanks you too.
Dad had his surgery last Wednesday. He wasn't released until Friday. He is doing as good as can be expected as far as the surgery and everything. The doctors did have to do a total elbow replacement. He is VERY sore and still in a lot of pain to say the least. He is taking his sick leave from work and using the rest of his vacation to hopefully get him through until January, when hopefully he can resume traveling for his job. He told my mom that if he had to live the rest of his life in that sort of pain, then he would rather die...so, your prayers for a speedy recovery and less pain are very much appreciated!! God is good and faithful and we have complete trust in Him during this. Thank you again!! Love to all of you!

We are sure praying for your Dad. It's hard to hear a parent say things like that about pain. I know it can only get better from here.
Hey, sweetheart! I just read your post about your dad. I had no idea he was having surgery. I've not been on my blog much lately, due to travel and work schedule. I am sorry he's had to go under the knife. That has to be so painful.
Please tell your dad that we're praying for him. Tell him that, although it's no consolation right now, that there IS life after pain.
Thanks for your comment about a recent post of mine. It makes my day that anything I could have shared would be helpful to anyone. You're sweet to say so!
Please say hi to your folks for me. I love you and your whole crew!

It's me again...years ago when I fell out of the window at OCC and was told I would be a cripple for the rest of my life, I decided I would not be a victim! I went against the grain and took charge of my own healing and today, I have no sign of damage or disability after nearly losing my right arm. I wrote about it on my blog, on an earlier posting. The doctor gave me no hope of recovery, just like Halbert received. I found hope anyway...outside and away from the doctor's office! Tell Halbert to keep the faith. He will likely do fine over time. He's tough...and God is Good!
Oh my goodness, we'll definitely pray.
Thank you for requesting prayers for your Dad. He is a tad better today which gives him hope that better days are coming. Thanks to all of your friends for their prayers, I know they are being answered. Love, Mom
We are praying for your dad! I hope the pain starts to decrease soon!!
