Our Visit to Pappy and Nana's

This past weekend, we went to West Memphis to visit Wade's parents. We had a great visit and the boys had a really fun time. Here is Callahan asleep on the way...he slept for almost 2 hours which really helped out the almost 5 hour drive.

Callahan and Nana reading before bed. Cal is really into books right now.

Pappy pulled out these jersey's of Wade's when he was little. The yellow and black is his old football jersey when he was a kid and the Celtics were Wade's favorite team when he was little because of Larry Bird. Carson LOVED having these and wore them interchangeably all weekend! Needless to say, we brought them home and he's worn them each night. He is really into playing football right now and every day dresses up like a football or baseball player (sometimes both in the same night)!

On Saturday, we went to the Memphis Zoo. I highly recommend this zoo if you are ever in the Memphis area. It is now rated among the top in the country and I can see why. It was excellent, nicely laid out, clean, and they even have Pandas there now. They are also getting a new wilderness attraction in the spring with grizzlies and wolves and then in 2010 they are getting a bigger aquarium area with more sea lions, walrus', etc. We will definitely plan to go back then, but loved all of it this time. It was great weather and had beautiful fall colors too with lots of big, gorgeous trees. We had a great time and the boys really loved it!

Thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers offered up for my dad! It is such an encouragement to know how many people are petitioning God on my dad's behalf. He thanks you and I appreciate you so much. I will update after tomorrow's surgery.

I am so sorry about your dad's elbow! I will keep him in my prayers.

Your boys couldn't be any cuter. They look adorable in their Halloween costumes!

I will be praying for your Dad. I pray that the surgery went well today. My Mom broke her elbow a few years ago. Her diagnose was not quite as bad, but she did have surgery and screws put in. She is doing great now - I will pray for a COMPLETE recovery for your Dad!
