Mimi and Papa's

Two weeks ago we went to my parents house for the week in Houston.  It was quite an experience getting there!  Once we got close to Huntsville (which is about  1 1/2 hours away), we could see tons of smoke ahead.  As we got closer, the highway patrol had shut down 75 in both directions due to a wildfire that had spread across the interstate!  They also shut down many of the two lane highways around.  So we had to take a 3 hour detour (all they way over to College Station) in order to get there!  What normally takes about 9 hours took 12!  Wow!  The kids were troopers though and Crosby even did well, by God's grace!  We had such a good time, but it went by too fast. The boys love their neighborhood pools and trails!  We swam a couple of days and on the last day, it rained (which they really needed because of the drought and fires), so we went to see Mr. Popper's Penguins (so good by the way!).

My mom packed a picnic lunch for us at the pool one day, which was lots of fun!
My mom and Carson after they cut gourds from the vine at their house!
One of the many creatures you may see in your backyard in Houston!

Looks like you guys had a great time in Houston! Your parents look great! Those were all the pics of Blue Haven that I have. I haven't loaded the pics from Mikey's camera yet, she probably has some good ones. I can't believe that she is a 5th grader!!!
