Spring Break Part I - Mimi and Papa's in Houston

We went to Houston for spring break last week and enjoyed a wonderful time with my parents.  It was so great to have some time off and spend it with family!  The weather was wonderful and my parents spoiled us to great cooking and we ate at some excellent places!  Thanks Mimi and Papa for everything - we miss you tons already!  The first night we were there, my nephew, Dylan was finishing his spring break before heading back to school in New Mexico.  It was great to see him - he is 15 now and getting so big!  I wish we could've seen him longer, but it was great even though it was short.  While we were home, Mimi gave the boys much needed haircuts! My parents live in Kingwood, a suburb of Houston.  It has 75 miles of trails that run all over and you can literally get on them from your back door.  The boys love them and they were definitely used while we were there.Just about a block or so from my parents backyard is a wonderful park in there neighborhood that we can get to on the trail.  It is the best little park and the boys loved it too.  They have so many great parks in their community!  Carson loved this digging thing at the park.  He played on it over and over.Somebody else liked this too!On Tuesday while we were there, we went to the Houston Zoo with Mimi. The boys couldn't wait to go see the snakes.  That zoo has probably one of the biggest reptile museums I have ever seen.  I was ready to get out of there, but Carson loved it.  Thankfully, my mom rented this $11 lifesaver when we first got there...it was so helpful, especially for Cal!This is one of the grizzly bears taking a nap - we must've gone at naptime because most of the animals were napping.
Second half of Spring Break to be published soon!
