St. Patrick's Day gifts for...US!

After school this week, Carson went in his room and got out his art supplies and came in the kitchen asking me for some gift bags and tissue paper. He told me that he was making us presents for St. Patrick's Day. Although I told him that we really don't exchange gifts on St. Patrick's Day, he insisted on giving me, Wade, and Cal one anyway. He went all out, made name tags and taped them on each present and was so proud of them. This is the first time that he thought of doing gifts for us, without expecting anything in return. I was pretty proud. The next day, he came home from school and asked if we could go ahead and open the presents later that night. He told me "I just can't wait any longer mommy!". So, we opened our gifts and here is what we got...

Oh, here is that "smile for the camera" smile again.

Carson found a construction loader picture frame in his drawer that he wasn't using anymore and wrapped it up for Callahan. I loved that he picked this out just for Cal because Callahan is SO into CAT machines lately. He loved his present!

Here is my present...

Here is what was inside..

The proud mommy!

Here is Wade's present...

I thought it was so cute that he wrapped up his "Boys Book" that he got from his aunt Shelley and Uncle Jason for Christmas this year. That was an appropriate choice I thought along with the Grinch Who Stole Christmas...because Wade can get a little grinchy around the holidays and gets called the Grinch or Ebeneezer by me!

Callahan was very happy. Thank you Carson!

Good job Carson! You know St. Patrick would have been so proud of you! What a picture of the saying "it is better to give, than to receive". Love, Mimi
